Hiking in the outdoors is great exercise and lets you see nature at its best.In our younger days, most of us would never have considered walking with the aid of a walking stick or trekking poles. As our bodies age, the knees begin to fail and our balance just isn't what it used to be so buying a walking stick makes sense. You may remember picking up large sticks that you used as hiking staffs when you were younger, but you played with them more than you actually used them to help you get up and down hills. Walking with one or two poles or sticks provides stability, and can also give you a better workout. The Alloy Hiking Pole is with spring suspension design. Which hiking pole is best for you? Now, your dream will come true here.
Other Thoughts:I have used several hiking poles over the years and I like this one the best. It is sturdy and held up well climbing up rock walls at Havasupai Falls. I only wish it would telescope to a smaller size as it is hard to fit in my small luggage when I am traveling light.
Other Thoughts:My husband and I both used these for our recent trip to Turkey, where we did some extensive climbing over rocks, steep paths, etc. Never used hiking poles before - and these proved to be immensely useful! It gave us that extra confidence on some of the trickier terrain. Didn't give them 5 stars, because I'm a tough grader!
