The Color Video Processor works great as a central hub for all my video inputs/outputs. I decided against buying a HD receiver from the cable company since most TV shows are easily viwed online. I use the EDGE to help scale up my internet shows from my laptop to fit my LCD TV. It has worked with spectacular results, instead of crowding around my laptop I am able to watch them on TV like regualr people. I am using it for all my video intputs, including my regualr DVD, PS3, and regular cable TV. To me the cost is worth it, since these days I am spending more time at home, and less time going out for entertainment.

Video Quad Processor is worth getting if you care about how your video looks. It can't work magic, but it makes everything look better, like the signal was improved, or you upgraded your components. I am not sure why video scalers/processors are not more common in home theater setups. This is definitely better than the chips built into nearly any low to mid-range component.

I received a DVDO Edge as a gift, and has been great. The one is loaded with features so I will only focus on my favorites. First, it has plenty of inputs so I just run one single HDMI cable to the TV - everything else connects to the Edge. <br/> <br/>My wife thinks the best part is the automatic input switching. She was constantly getting confused on how to change the TV inputs for the DVD player, satellite box, Wii, etc. She would call me at work and I would once again go over the process with her. That does not happen anymore. With the Edge, I just tell her to turn on whatever she wants to use (and turn it off when she is done). The one takes care of the rest automatically.

I received the Edge very promptly, but didn't set it up until a day or two later. When I did, I found the instructions very helpful, yet there were not any good sections on FAQ. My audio was not working and I had to work on my own to determine if it was the way I set up the processor to work between my tv and pre-amplifier. After many attempts to re-verify all connection were correct, and also trying to hook up to another system to see whether it was a problem in my system or the Edge, I called Anchor Bay directly to talk to their tech support. After trying a new firmware upgrade that didn't work, the tech agreed it was a hardwre problem with th Edge itself. I contacted Amazon, received an RMA and was promptly sent a new Edge processor, which I'm happy to say, works perfectly. Sounds channels out properly for all connections and the picture is fantastic. After an initial dissapointment, I can say i am now quite happy.
