- Other Thoughts: I am a beginning to learn to sew and this has been a wonderful machine for me. It is easy to learn to use and is great for hemming, straight & zigzag stitches, threads the needle easily and works perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase!

- Other Thoughts: Before I start. I have read 1-star reviews to this product, and should tell you^ this is complete nonsense! This machine is fantastic! It does its job! Whatever lady was complaining about - backward stitching non-straight - it's bull. You should direct it at any times, without direction it will be all over the place. She didn't assume that machine would be sewing without her help.

- Other Thoughts: I bought this to get back into sewing. While the settings can be a bit intimidating, it's extremely easy to use and the manual is fairly thorough. I always test my stiching on a piece of fabric first so I can do the necessary "tweeking." Enjoy!

- Other Thoughts: This is a great machine for the price. I am teaching my teenage daughter to sew and she is turned off by my old Mechanical Stitch Sewing Machine. So I keep that around for the tough jobs and use this new Brother for the light weight stuff.
