I bought one of these, because it sounded a bit more solid than the competing chargers. It charged the first set of batteries just fine. I let it cool down, put in a second set of batteries, and plugged it in. work well.

I own one of these chargers to use with my batteries for several of my LED flashlights. I use 'protected' batteries to ensure proper charging. And it works well with my batteries.
