- Other Thoughts: Not only is this a great beginners set - it;s also great for future work with power carvers since, with the addition of an adapter, the blades are useable with most of the power carvers on the market. Its a great set to build on.

- Other Thoughts: As already mentioned, these are small, but they are very well made. They take and hold a very good edge and are perfect for detail work. Very easy to control.

- Other Thoughts: These are excellent caving tools. It did not take much to put a final edge on them and the factory angles seemed good. I used them in basswood and mahogany and all cuts were very smooth and even. The tools are stouter than my other palm-sized tools. A light mallet could probably be used since it has a full ferule. I was not sure how the octagon handles would feel, but they are comfortable. They are a great compliment to full-sized tools.

- Other Thoughts: This Wood Carving Chisels Set is very well made (Two Cherries is always excellent). <br/>These tools are small - the handles fit entirely in your palm, so if you want to be able to use a mallet then get larger chisels.

- Other Thoughts: I had to buy some chisels quickly for an art class of mine, and when I ordered these, they came in by the end of the week. When I finally started to use them, they worked great! I used them on plaster, and they carve through it beautifully. They are easy to handle and have good curvatures for cutting into the plaster.
