this Laser Module Focusable Dot is pretty darn bright. its not quite visible in absolute broad daylight, but indoors its bright enough to burn your retina, and with a minor adjustment (and a steady supply of extra AAAs) you get a solid beam in a moderately dusty room.

This is a much higher quality pointer than anticipated. It is used in large rooms and lecture halls where brightness and battery life count.

I purchased this to create a movement detection system, and found the quality to be very nice. Plugged it into 3v, and it lit right up. The beam is quite focused, and also quite bright. <br/> <br/>Plus, they shipped it with a detailed cad drawing + specs, so there was no trial and error in mounting or connecting it. <br/> <br/>I have not had it long enough to know if it "lasts", but so far so good.

They are as listed. This is my second order for the same modules. I ordered them for undergraduate students to build hands-on laser displays for our outreach program. The students broke a few of them just behind the brass casing during construction. As long as you handle them carefully, they work fine. Have used some of them several months with no failures due to use. I would purchase them again; I did.

I needed a laser for a special application. The one I ordered wouldn't work for that application so I contacted them direct and they took care of me. The quality and packaging was professional and I would order from them again.
