This lens hood seems to be pretty much an exact match for the much more expensive Canon-branded product. It mounts perfectly and seems to be well made. I have no problem recommending it.

Lightweight, quick-fitting onto lens,...the only issue is storage and transportation,..need a larger camera case if you intend to leave it attached to the lens.

Snaps right on. Clearly overpriced but 20 something bucks isn't a bankbreaker. The Canon lens hood does spin around as opposed to twisting and locking like the better ones but seems okay and doesn't really affect performance.

This lens hood for Canon is easy for me to use. With the hood attached on my 85/1.8 lens, I can easily get on or off the lens cap. It's not that bad as someone put on their negative comments. I am a woman and my finger size is normal. It might be a different experience for someone with quite big hands.

Great hood does what its supposed to do, cut flare and protect lense. It's not a screw on, but latches fairly easy and is sturdy when latched on. Since it latches on it does spin around the lense, but its nothing to complain about, it still feels very sturdy when on. Overall very happy with the purchase.

I've used lens hoods on all of my lens since I first started doing pro photography almost 30 years ago. I feel the hoods protect the front of the lens.

After using my lens on vacation and having a difficult time keeping sun flare off the lens, I finally decided to buy this product. Just completed doing an outdoor wedding and the sun was all over the place, and this hood did exactly what is supposed to do. Didn't ruin one shot because of sun flares. Easy to use and easy to store when not in use.

It has good construction, although sometimes it can be a little difficult to take on/off the camera. Better that than coming lose. <br/>Would recommend.
