Pros:
I bought this light after reading numerous reviews at several sites on the internet. I'm a flashlight collector and user for business, camping, hunting & fishing, hiking, cycling, repairs etc. I use at least a few of my other lights daily. This is a very bright light, and the zoom feature is very handy. This light at the near extreme is very floody, and does a great job of illuminating a room. When extended out, the emitter's shape and detail is exposed in the beam completely, and looks like a projection of a picture. Back off just a hair, and it turns into a very intense spot. The light itself is well made, small, has a good pocket/belt clip, and the zooming head stays where you put it. It runs fine on Alkaline and NiMH batteries alike. I would recommend this light as a very handy tool for all your daily tasks, vacation, repairs etc., and at the price.....a very good value. It's far more useful than most of the flashlights for sale at your local hardware store or home center
Cons:
I wish it would zoom out a bit more to make it even floodier. It would almost illuminate like a lantern then.
It doesn't tail stand as the switch protrudes slightly from the body.
The fit and finish are a bit rough, thereby eliminating it from Museum status as there are some machining marks visible here and there.
Other Thoughts:
Zoom in to see your path, light up a closet, look under the hood, find your lost contact lens.
Zoom out to spot an owl in a tree, find a trail marker in the dark, etc.
Remove the crennalated bezel/lens assembly, and the light becomes a super bright candle!
The zooming feature is very handy to use with your thumb while holding.
I might purchase one for each vehicle, and certainly for the camping gear. I have a series of lights in the Bug Out Bag, and this one is included!
