- Other Thoughts: I needed an adapter to connect the fire wire of my video camera to my new laptop and this is the right one. It does what it has to do.

- Other Thoughts: Very simple product and quality is fine. Using this as a cheaper alternative for connecting a new computer to an existing device and wire (cheaper that getting a 9/6-pin cable. Regarding some other comments on no power: No, 6-pin firewire connections do not provide power, that's what a 9-pin firewire connections do.

- Other Thoughts: Works well, no problems at all and is one of the cheaper 9-6 pin Adapters. Great for connecting an older video camera to a Firewire 800 cable.
