I bought 3 cables, and all are indistinguishable from cable that came with my 3gs. They even have "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China" logo. Those are either really well made copies, or original apple cables.

Great product. I may have got lucky, but we ordered 3 cables in total and all of them seems to be the genuine apple product, and of course, work great!!! Yes, what I received were better than what was described here!!! Thanks!!!

They're practically free. What do you have to lose? <br/> <br/>I've bought four or five of these. None has failed. Can't say the same about the cable that came with my iPhone 3GS. That one didn't last a year.
