- Other Thoughts: This timer has the best combination of classic and digital features. It has a classic look and feel so that it is easy to see the numbers and easy to set the time. But, it runs on a battery like a digital timer which means silent operation (no ticking!) and a great escalating ring. The only wish I have is that it was made in more colors.

- Other Thoughts: Upon opening the package, I could tell that this wasn't going to be a heavy duty timer. <br/>The color (bronze) is very bright and the material is a thin metal. My first impressions were not good. When trying the timer for the first time, I set it for 5 minutes. It didn't go off until 2 minutes PAST the mark (or at 58 minutes) and then continued ticking, but eventaully stopped. I then dug the packaging from the garbage. The package only has one instruction, 'for short time periods, turn past 30 and then back to desired time.' So, I followed the instruction and it worked better. It did go off at the proper time, but still continued to tick for a minute or so afterward. All-in-all, I'm not that impressed but for the little money I spent, I can't expect miracles.

- Other Thoughts: This was the perfect item. I bought it for my son to time his culinary activities. He is very pleased with its accuracy and would purchase the same model again.

- Other Thoughts: I've had one of these for forever, but it disappeared in my recent move. I purchased a new one and expect it to last just as long. So far it's been as reliable and accurate as my old one. It's great for cooking, timing my parking meter and testing my kids for their SAT's. It's reassuring to think that classic items are still made well!

- Other Thoughts: After reading the low rated reviews I was skeptical about buying a replacement timer. I also had one years ago that was made in America and have had quality problems with other items made in China. This is my favorite type of timer for several uses, so I decided to take the risk and order more than one through Ace Hardware on Amazon.com. So glad I did because they're working great for me!!
