This product did exactly what we wanted it to for our home. The night vision range views are better with outside lighting on.we were able to search the log for when it went off, and see the vehicle across the street at the time their alarm was set off. They were parked in a vacant house's drive and it was their own cat set it off. We have 3 cameras outside and one inside, and it has rained and disturbed the views only slightly as expected. The cameras are motion activiated and begin recording automatically. The optical mouse is also a great feature for easily clicking from one camera view to another.

After my sons truck was vandalized right outside our home, I decided to purchase a security system. I looked at a lot of systems online and decided on this one. I really liked the features that the defender offered. After the system was hooked up it started recording right away. The picture quality is good and the DVR is working great! we live on a well lit street so the night vision is a plus.

I found this product to be better than advertised. The installation was simple. The setup for external internet viewing was somewhat challenging due to my home network arrangement. I contacted Defenders customer support for assistance and found the experience quit satisfying. The customer service Representatives were very professional and quickly resolved the issue I was experiencing. They even provided a follow up call to let me know another link had become available for viewing my security system remotely. I am well pleased overall with the product and service.

I shopped and shopped the internet looking for an affordable camera system for my home. I finally decided on this system and it was a great choice. I had it up and running in less than 10 minutes out of the box to test it. Installation was very simple...it really is a plug n play system. I made the experience of hiding the wires in a finished house more hassle than I needed to because I wanted perfection. You can't tell we have cameras unless you really look. Wire is thin and easy to hide under carpet etc. Highly recommended!

I have had this unit installed now since its release. The set-up was a breeze. I should mention however that I have allot of experience with computers and networking, but even with that said I still think the set-up was very basic and easy to understand. I set up the system to check to make sure the cameras were all working, which they all worked fine, in about 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great video surveillance system
