My 7-year-old nephew has countless kits, but I lucked out in finding this one. He really enjoys putting together these kits by himself. He will sit down and put the whole thing together without stopping. When he is done, he plays with them for hours at a time. This particular kit was a big hit with him. It combines the always-popular fire engine with the always-cool hovercraft. Way to go!

GREAT TOY, SON ENOYED PUTTING IT TOGETHER, AND HAD HOURS OF FUN PLAYING WITH IT. WILL EVENTUALLY TAKE IT APPART AND CREATE OTHER TOYS BY ADDING OTHER PARTS TO IT.

My 5YO son loved putting this together. He insisted on building it in one stretch, which does take a long attention span. It has great details and comes with accessories to promote imaginitive play. We just bought the fire station too, but haven't tackled it yet. I recommend this product for preschoolers/kindergarten/first grade.
