- Other Thoughts: It is hard to find a laptop these days that has a serial port. I program machines for a living and an RS-232 port is a necessity as many controllers and devices still have these for programming and configuration. I had purchased a USB-to-RS232 adapter a while back, and though it worked fairly well, it did not work well with Yamaha's RCX robot controllers. I got frustrated and started searching for a PCcard adapter and found this one on DINO. I have been using it for over a month now and it has worked great, even with the Yamaha controllers. The only quirk I have found is that there is a parallel port in Device Manager that is associated with this adapter, but it does not physically have one and shows up as disabled. This hasn't caused any problems, just looks a little strange in Device Manager.

- Other Thoughts: Needed a nine pin to hook up my sprinter diagnostic. Works fine, highly recommend!

- Other Thoughts: Everything works as it should. the RS232 Express Card resolved issues I previously had with my USB-to-Serial adapter. I do wish the drivers were easier to install and/or it came with better instructions.
