- Other Thoughts: Really like this hood, prevents parasite side light to enter the lens. It s really small so you can let it on the lens when you put the camera in your bag. <br/> <br/>Cons: not possible to use it with a polarizer because you cannot rotate the filter, or you have to be really patient.

- Other Thoughts: *CRINGE* I dropped my camera with lens attached the other day. It wasn't far (about 3-4 feet), but it landed on the lens hood (which took the impact). Granted the hood shattered, but it absorbed a huge amount of shock and I know saved my camera. The lens didn't fair as well. It still works, but no longer zooms (I've taken it apart and am fixing now). <br/> <br/>Moral of the story, yes a lens hood does wonders for blocking out extraneous light from entering the lens, but a lens hood has other functions too.

- Other Thoughts: This is just about the best/only hood that will work with lens due to it's focal length. Great price for a great product.

- Other Thoughts: Gets the job done at a great value. Fits camera well. I can leave on lens and still get the lens cap in and out. I will be making more purchases from Fotodiox in the future.

- Other Thoughts: This was a fabulous (and cheap!) buy for our camera. It's done a great job blocking light from the lens so we get a clear picture. It's also protected the lens if there's mist in the air.
