I first bought this Media DVR, and now have their updated Live Player with networking, and both units are amazing. Plays just about anything (only had problems with one media file so far), great picture quality through HDMI, and it's cheap to boot! <br/> <br/>At this price, it's a guaranteed good buy!

Recording on the hard drive is a breeze. There is lots of memory, and it's wonderful not worrying about disc space. Recording quality is excellent. We haven't checked out all the features of the machine yet, but couldn't be more pleased with the ease of recording and playing back from the hard drive. The read-out on the front of the unit could be larger--hard to see from across the room. Overall a terrific machine for our needs.

This is the best recorder I've seen out on the market. If you don't have or want to pay for Tivo this is what you need. This recorder records hundreds of hours to it's HDD or you can burn to DVD. It will record up to 6 hours of live t.v. at a time so you can playback or pause any evening viewing session. Also I use it for viewing a couple of security cameras. I plan on getting another. Great product.

I love my new box from TiVo. I'm able to record more than one show at a time or watch live TV while recording to my DVR. It's great!

I'm free of cable and Tivo has allowed me to do this. With Tivo I can still get many of my TV shows off antenna with it's built in dual ATSC tuners, but in order to cut cable out my life, I still needed to get some of my reality shows a like on History and Discovery Channels. Tivo made solving that problem easy by adding Netflix and Amazon Video to their lineup. Now I get all my shows at less then half the cost of cable every month. If customer support was better I would have given it five stars.
