Here is a very durable 16CH Real-time Network H.264 Security CCTV Digital Video Recorder CR-8616. The Network Digital Video Recorder is the most reliable and functional embedded DVR system available today. The system displays 16 channels of live images in Real Time speed, compresses data digitally and records them to the Hard Disk Drive, which can be replayed and searched easily any time. The Network Digital Video Recorder supports easy back up via USB port and networking in both static & dynamic IP modes. User can remotely view live images or search the recorded images. Under emergency situation, the remote operator can control, turn on and turn off the field installed alarms, such as a siren or light.It is a very user- friendly Security Digital Video Recorder system.

I received this as a gift. When I realized what it could do I was curious. When I hooked it it up and tried it out I was thrilled. Enough said. I definitely recommend this for anyone who loves to capture video.

Simply put, the product works exactly as described. Set-up was a breeze, using the included software was extremely easy. Quality is great. I was going to go with the dazzle product, but decided not to waste my money on something that gives you horrible quality, and decided to go with the best!

Bought this to mainly capture video game gameplay. Easy to set up and was off and running in minutes. Ive also used it to convert some old VHS tapes to DVD and it worked great as well...highly recommended product!

The hardware works as advertised, however the optical port on the back pushed into the box when I tried to hook up a toslink cable to it. It does work, however the optical cable is subject to fall out if accidentally moved.

I'm free of cable and Tivo has allowed me to do this. With Tivo I can still get many of my TV shows off antenna with it's built in dual ATSC tuners, but in order to cut cable out my life, I still needed to get some of my reality shows a like on History and Discovery Channels. Tivo made solving that problem easy by adding Netflix and Amazon Video to their lineup. Now I get all my shows at less then half the cost of cable every month. If customer support was better I would have given it five stars.
