I have owned one of these for nine years and love it. I am a machine tool electrician so I strip a high volume of wires on a daily basis. This tool will make a nice clean cut, then a perfect strip without changing tools. It is indispensable when working with ferrules because the strip length is constant, allowing you to make uniform connections quickly. I recently misplaced mine and am now searching for the best deal to buy another one. I am certain I will not be without it for long. This one is light weight, comfortable, and durable. By far the best wire stripper I have ever used and I highly recommend it to anyone who wires on a regular basis.

This cutter is for copper wire. Don't cut steel jacket with it. Cut copper wire with it and it will last and last. Your hand will wear out before these cutters do.

I bought this originally to strip some RG6 coaxial cable, and it ended up being perfect for stripping the Acoustic Research PR361 Speaker Cable, Flat 16 AWG. I haven't tried using it for RG6 yet, but I'm looks like that will also work perfectly.

this works well with small cables like cat5 and cat6. does not work well with 25 pair. the space to put the cable is to small for the bigger cable. you can use the coax part to cut the 25 pair sleeve but it will always knick wires or even cut off a few of them.

I am a tech for Comcast and I can honestly say, this is the best prep tool available. They used to sell em at Home Depot but have been discontinued for some cheap replacements. Unless u work with speaker or cat5, remove the iiner razors or they will butcher u, me and some colleagues learned the hard way. Great tool. I buy 2 at a time
