- Other Thoughts: This door closer does the same thing, but the button designed to hold the door open is awesome.

- Other Thoughts: This Door Closerworks! For less than what I have seen at local Lowes and Home Depot, I can press a button on the arm, and the door will stay open wherever I want it to. Even better, after the last load of groceries, plants, or whatever, I can literally "bump" the door with my elbow or hip, and it closes. It is as quick, and it is quieter than the last two mounted on the door. They are also available in black and unpainted models thru various sites on the web.

- Other Thoughts: I'm in South Florida and so far it's holding up to heat, humidity, and withering sunlight. I'm going to get another for the other door. Perfect!

- Other Thoughts: I have one of these shocks on our front storm door and we love it. So easy to lock the door open, even with your hands full. It does shut faster for the last few inches to make sure the door shuts properly. I am putting another one on our side storm door. This door is very heavy, so I will install a standard shock closer on the top and this one on the bottom, which takes care of the fast closing issue with extra heavy doors. All door closers should be made like this one.

- Other Thoughts: Bought a new house and the previous owner took theirs. I purchased this and it fits perfectly. The hold function is neat and you can adjust the closing speed easily by turning a screw.
