We have only had the system for about 2 months but for the price, it is really nice. It was very easy to install. I used extension cords in the attic and ran them to one box. The set up is easy. I will be buying two more cameras soon to add to the package. Overall, I give it two thumbs up.

Every thing went well as far as hooking up the units. Very good picture quality and easy functions. But the range from the cameras to the monitor is decreased quite abit by the number of walls it has to go through.

Bought this system to replace an older one. I am very impressed with this system. Excellent night vision and with a 16gHz memory SDHC card, can record for quite a while. Very simple to download the recorded videos to a PC. The only draw back is the cameras can not be used in direct weather conditions, but a little improvising can remedy that. Overall, a great buy for your money and according to Lorex service can be expanded to 6 cameras but they do not recommend that.

Excellent long range durable camera. The model below it I returned. It had horrible night vision at any range. The first one was broken on delivery. The second just sucked. This one is high quality and works really well. Excellent range of at least 80 feet. Good choice, professional grade all weather camera.

I have two of this Camera. They are excellent for day and night vision. Can see at night with little or no light.

first time surveillance system buyer... <br/> <br/>I spent several hours trying to determine which unit to buy and must say I am glad I purchased the Defender <br/> <br/>Picture is a tad grainy during the day BUT the night shots are amazing!! I am very picky about quality and for 500..you can't beat this system!!! <br/> <br/>Installation was simple. I mounted the cameras on my eves outside while it was snowing. Ran the cable inside the siding corners and then through the sills on the bottom of the house. <br/> <br/>Great system!
