It is a nice lens hood. I lke the fact that it collapses which makes it easy to store without removing it from the lens.

This Camera Lens Hood is inexpensive and it works. The problem that I have when using it on my Canon 18/55mm lens is that when the lens is on it's widest setting, the round edge of the filter shows on the photo.

After using my lens on vacation and having a difficult time keeping sun flare off the lens, I finally decided to buy this product. Just completed doing an outdoor wedding and the sun was all over the place, and this hood did exactly what is supposed to do. Didn't ruin one shot because of sun flares. I purchased this Camera Lens Hood cover and yes it's a good sturdy plastic material and it works great! i have a canon eos rebel t2i and it fits on there perfectly even with a filter lens intact.
