I bought this, unsure if I would have a compatibility issue or not. I am pleased to say that it works fine with my daughter's PS2 Guitar Hero World Tour game. The sound is fine, I haven't noticed any problems with it.

I actually like this microphone better than the one that came with Rock Band; it's lighter, the tip is black, and doesn't have that weird rubber thing on the bottom. Those might be personal preferences, but the sound quality is great and it doesn't hurt if you drop it on your foot. Also, like the Rock Band mic, this one works if you plug it into the usb slot of a computer.
