The fan works great, I have two of them for my ps3 slim. When they are turned on high they make a humm noise which when playing a game I don't mind if I am watching a blu ray I just turn the fan speed down. It isn't hard to drown out the humm noise the retractable cable is nice and over all great product good price and after reading reviews for ps3 coolers just buy these you can choose where to put them.

It works well, looks good, it does the job. The temp of my laptop dropped without hearing the fan, Nice speed dial. Buy It.

I recently had a friend whose PS3 went out due to overheating so I decided to purchase a PS3 USB Cooling Cooler Fan before mine bit the bullet. This item seems to work but doesn't sit well on the PS3 system. So far i've knocked it loose multiple times just walking by. However, it does seem to keep the PS3's internal fans from kicking into overdrive so often.

The good thing about this fan is that it fits on the front not the back or the sides. A lot of the fans out there attach to the side or the back of the ps3, but that actually does more damage than good.
