Second it sharpens pencils very fast and does exactly as claimed in that it does not over-sharpen the pencils at all. This saves on unecessary pencil wear and keeps them around longer. They also don't have the tendancy to rip a piece of paper with too sharp of tip.

I love this sharpener! It's quiet, fast and powerful--what more could I want? I also like that it's heavy and seems very well made. It takes up less space than my old one too.

This is the best pencil sharpener I've ever owned. Granted, I haven't really owned that many of them, but still: I'm impressed. It's quiet, pencils come out evenly sharp (none of that annoying lead-on-one-side-wood-on-the-other nonsense with this thing), and I rarely have to empty it. The chamber for shavings is well designed: a good size, stays in place securely (my kids have knocked the sharpener over several times but it has never popped open and dumped its contents) yet is easy to empty.

This is a great pencil sharpener! Great value for the price! Used a lot by a family for school pencils, colored pencils, etc..... very quiet and sharpens
