I love this sharpener! It's quiet, fast and powerful--what more could I want? I also like that it's heavy and seems very well made. It takes up less space than my old one too. I'm very pleased with it.

This sharpener is nice because it sits upright on the desk, which means it has a smaller footprint than some of the others on the market. That said, it also puts a nice point on the pencil every time without making a lot of noise (it's not silent) and the cut wood is nice and smooth and not slivery.

This is the best pencil sharpener I've ever owned. Granted, I haven't really owned that many of them, but still: I'm impressed. It's quiet, pencils come out evenly sharp, and I rarely have to empty it. The chamber for shavings is well designed: a good size, stays in place securely (my kids have knocked the sharpener over several times but it has never popped open and dumped its contents) yet is easy to empty. <br/> <br/>What more can you ask of a pencil sharpener?

This is a great pencil sharpener! Great value for the price! Used a lot by a family for school pencils, colored pencils, etc..... very quiet and sharpens evenly. We Have had trouble with other pencil sharpeners sharpening pencils one sided. Very nice all in all.

I have to admit I didn't think this Desktop Pencil Sharpener would work as well as it does, but I was wrong. My concern that it may chew up my soft lead Berols', however it does an awesome job..very pleased with this.
