I appreciate a desk lamp that stays cool, I've burned myself a few times on incandesents and even CFLs can put off a bit of warmth that can make you feel uncomfortable when it's already warm.

I guess it's hard to fully explain, but in my opinion it puts off light that is pretty close to perfect in color temperature. As for regular temperature, it stays cool to the touch since it's using LEDs.

It's a nice warm white, but it's not as "warm" (yellow) as it appears in the product picture on web, at least on my monitor, it has a very slight pinkish-yellow tinge but it's actually quite nice looking.

This is a pretty cool little lamp. It's hard to find lamps that are distinct looking in this price-range, and the fact that it has a continuous dimmer is a definite plus.

I think it's the unique LED design. So all in all, it's a cool lamp, but it's not as useful as I would have hoped.
