The unit that sticks on to the bottom of the iPhone works as well but it isn't well integrated into the phone. This case + charging unit makes for one solid unit that is easy to hold.

The iPhone 4 has pretty good battery life and so I requested this item not sure of whether I would use this product or not but I actually find I can't leave home without it.

This device, for the first few uses, will dramatically extend your battery life.At work, I charge the pack separately and the iPhone separately.But for extended travel and trips, I keep the pack charged, then slide the iPhone in for extended use.

I also dig the fact that the back of the unit is obviously metal and held on with metal screws. Some units I've ordered from here are, and I kid you not, held together with tape. And not cool double-sided tape, either; it's like someone spends their days rolling tape into little backwards loops so other people can tack the solar panel on. This is not the case with this one

I ordered a items in order to get a reduced price on the second items but when I checked out, it charged my iPod for the full amount instead of the discounted amount. I emailed the company and in less than 24 hours had a response back stating that they would be crediting the difference of the discounted price back to my charge iPod.
