This thing has played every file type that I have thrown at it. It's small and can be easily concealed, but like the pervious reviews, the remote needs to be pointed directly at the device. Setup is a breeze, just configure to widescreen and set the tv resolution to 480p,720p,1080p etc.

I am an avid viewer of DVDs and have been a staunch supporter of the players made by this company for about ten years, but even the most reliable of equipment eventually wears out, especially if it sees as much use as my last player did. I recently replaced my last unit after years of use, and when I did I went with this model and I have never been happier with any player I have owned. It's lightweight, slightly smaller than previous models, can be converted to all-regions use with ease

What I really love most about Media Player is both how snappy the menus are and how clear the video and audio are. I am very satisfied and feel like the WD TV does a great job with what it is designed for. Highly recommended!

I mean directly in front of HD Media Player . If you try to use it from any angle or significant distance it would not work. If the remote was better it would have received 5 stars. However, overall I am very impressed.
