I agree with almost all the good reviews. I just want to add the 10x might have to do with focus because i turn lens counter clockwise into sharp focus 10x closer like a microscope. It's a neat camera for so little money. I may try to adapt to my telescope for astro. I do believe these are LED's for night illumination. Amazing value, can't complain.

This is a great webcam, words don't even do justice you just have to see it for yourself. The low light setting is extrememly useful when you want to cam at night even with no lamp available as long as your computer screen is bright it will work like a charm. I am a person who like online chat, and often make friends online, I can use the good quality PC laptop webcam to video chat. Superior video, it brings a lot of fun for my life , I like it!

Unlike most reviews I read before getting this I find the lights not quite bright enough for my needs. I got it to film pets nesting in dark corners of my room or at night with lights off so I could check on them without getting up. I also bought a 6ft extension for it that has a power boost to make of for the long USB chord so possibly it's not boosted enough but I'd like brighter lights. Manual focus is a bit tricky but works. Quality is good when lights are bright though not fantasic.
