This would be my 3rd pencil sharpener. My first died on me. This one works better than either of the previous two. It's faster and quieter. It sharpens a new pencil in seconds. This is a very good sharpener. I would recommend it.

This is an old-school manual sharpener but it works BETTER than electric ones. I first used it in school and had to get one at home. it is inexpensive and i recommend it to anyone.

I bought this sharpener for my 6 year old grand daughter. She used it to sharpen all the pencils she could find and had no problem using it. I was skeptical after reading some reviews that said it left wood on one side, but decided to give it a try. We have found that the cause of the uneven sharpening is caused by poorly made pencils that don't have the lead centered. If you use good ones like Ticonderoga, it works perfectly, just like the old ones in school.

We homeschool our 8 children, and we have been through quite a few pencil sharpeners (manual and electric). It even sharpens those cheap pencils! I highly recommend this pencil sharpener!!!

I have a bunch of kids that are constantly drawing pictures with pencils and crayons. We've tried every retail pencil/crayon sharpener around and they've all been broken or died. We do have an sharpener that works fairly well, but it's not really appropriate for small children and we've already broken one of those too.
