I bought Correction Eraser by Sanford, White Pearl, also by Sanford, and these Mars erasers and tested them all on ordinary writing paper to see which would be best. This removed the marks with the least pressure, without smudges, and left the least eraser residue. <br/> <br/>I also use tracing paper quite a bit to transfer images for soft-block carvings, and this eraser does an excellent, clean job. <br/> <br/>So while it is unfortunately the most expensive of the latex-free erasers I tested, it is the best and worth purchasing.

I work as an engineer draftsman for years and this is the best pencil eraser I know of. It is very effective and works really good. It does not crumble into thousand of tiny bits and pieces which is a mess to clean. Instead it just rolls off smoothly on the paper. <br/> <br/>Will not tear the paper as some hard erasers usually does. A bit more pricey but lasts a long time.

The Rectangular Correction Eraser is a dream as far as needing to erase in a fashion as to not leave behind pencil residue. Being a person who uses the Staedtler Mars Plastic Eraser for erasing puzzle pencil marks I can attest to the fact that the eraser does not leave any pencil marks on my puzzle after I have erased the pencil marks. The eraser is easy to use. The eraser does not leave my puzzle looking a mess but leaves my puzzle clear and clean every time I use the Staedtler Mars Plastic Eraser. I highly recommend this eraser and I will continue to use this eraser as my main one. Thanks!

Our family has been using this Drawing Correction Eraser for the last 20 years. My son used it throughout school and now uses it in college. I used it throughout undergrad and grad school, and here I am looking for it again in preparation for returning to school in the Spring. <br/> <br/>You can't beat this eraser. Combine it with the Black Warrior Pencil and all is right in the world...
