This is an excellent pen. you should also purchase the converter, as the included ink cartridge runs out in a week or two, depending on how often you write. Filling with a converter and bottled ink will pay for itself in a few months. I have the extra fine and the line width is just right. Anything wider, would be too wide. The nib is not scratchy to me, but this is the first fountain pen I have used this much.

This is my first Lamy pen, and I'll be buying another one soon. It's unique in that it's light weight, with a very defined grip. If those attributes suit you well, you'll enjoy this pen. Best feature so far.... it writes at the beginnig of using it, every time. No wetting the end, gently shaking or anything. Put the pen to the paper and it writes.

I just got my pen today and am very pleased with it so far. I was using a Waterman with a medium nib and wanted to switch to something that had a finer point. Having used the Waterman, I was thrown briefly but how light this pen was, but after doing a bit of writing, it was easy to adapt. I would definitely recommend the Lamy to someone looking for a lower cost option to a Waterman fountain pen.

Great affordable fountain pen. I was worried that the EF nib would skip, but it doesn't, writes incredibly smoothly, fits great in the hand, affordable quality.

This Fine Fountain Pen is the best pen I use; it is better than pens twice the price. The flow is smooth and is comfortable to write with. Don't let the plastic case fool you; it is a great pen.
