I bought this pen to see for myself if I would enjoy writing with fountain pens and they were exactly what I wanted. Good quality, cheap and wrote fantastic. The only downside was they ran out of ink fairly quickly.

I got this pen because I thought I should upgrade from disposable ballpoint pens. It's my first fountain pen and I use it for journaling. It writes very well and I love the fact that it is affordable and disposable. It arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. Overall, I am very satisfied with it.

I use fountain pens everyday, so I know what I am talking about: This is a great fountain pen for everyday writing -- one that you will not care gets lost or damaged due to its very low price (unlike the average (non limited edition) fountain pens, which can cost over $100 -- and sometimes much more). The Pilot Varsity pen lays down a great fine-to-medium line of ink, and the nib (IE: the writing tip) does not dry out too fast when left uncapped -- and the pen seems to write forever with its large internal ink reservoir. Fantastic buy; and with no muss-'n-fuss of having to refill the pen either!

The pen doesn't look fancy or expensive, but works great. I fine nib is a little bit wide for me, but it didn't spoil the overall impression. If you are not after impressing girls with your fountain pen and just want a great writing working horse this is a great tool.

This is a great pen. This is an example of excellent product engineering - very well thought out and very well executed - even down to the box that it came in. Just beautiful. The medium nib is the right size (at least for me) and it very conformable in my hand. It writes very smooth and I am totally happy with it. Several other reviewers have complained about the heft - I typically like my pen to have some weight - I like this pen just the way it is. It's balanced quite nicely and feels right. <br/> <br/>Very happy with this purchase.
