• This clock is not for anyone with a heart condition or gentle constitution. Clocky went off, clanging and whistling some some mechanical banshee, and I nearly jumped out of my skin, clinging to the ceiling by my fingernails like a cartoon cat. Perfect. If you're starting to habituate to your present alarm clock, press the snooze button to often or find the process of waking up pales in comparison to anything the Marquis de Sade could come up with, then this is the clock for you.

• I purchased clocky because I had such a hard time getting up in the morning. I was tardy to my first period classes, and wanted it to stop. The clocky is loud, obnoxious, and annoying-everything a good alarm clock should be to get you up. I like that it runs away from you (mine loves to run and hide under my bed, beeping its little heart out.) But beware, although the clocky does work on carpet, it doesn't work WELL. sometimes it will get stuck like a car in the mud, its little wheels going but not moving. I would recomend this to anyone who has major trouble getting up in the morning-it certainly helped me. I havent been late to any of my classes since.

• I bougth Clocky for my husband's birthday. He had been using his blackberry for an alarm clock, and wasn't too happy with that arrangement. We had thought about buying Clocky for his little brother for Christmas, so I knew it was something he'd be interested in.
  
  We love Clocky. First of all, he works really well as a clock/alarm clock. It's very easy to set both the time, and the alarm. The alarm is loud, and also varried. There is no way you could sleep through Clocky. It sounds a bit like R2D2 when it goes off. It also flashes a little light, and I swear, giggles.
  
  We have set him to roll off the nightstand to test this function, and he did very well. He ran away and hid in our closet. For everyday use we just keep him stationary. The alarm is enough to wake us up, without the scavanger hunt. My husband LOVES that you can vary the snooze time.
  
  I am very happy with Clocky. I would definitely recommend the product to others

• I purchased this as a birthday gift for a 29-yr old male. He is a deep sleep and has two alarm clocks in different corners of his bedroom. I did a search for an item that would be more helpful than carrying an army of alarm clocks. This product seemed to be perfect since it was cute (not just a "alarm" going off) and also that it 'ran away'. He used this on the first night he got it and said that he heard it go off, shut his eyes for a few mins after snooze and that it did launch off his nightstand and attempt to hide. He has a large dog (Half Germ Shep/Rott) and it did not scare the dog or get eaten. He said it is very loud (non-adjustable) but that it was what he needed and it gave him a good laugh to see it in action.
  
  I highly recommend it for anyone who truly has trouble sleeping and is tired of being late to work or other functions. Be warned it is 'very' loud and if you don't wake to it.. you may be woken by others who were :)

• What a great design. I think that this alarm clock is very creative and inventive. I set it on the floor away from the bed and when the alarm goes off, the fun begins. It wakes up the whole family. We keep it running until everyone is out of bed. Last one up turns it off. My dog loves it too. He wakes up ready to play which fills the room with fun in the morning instead of the normal grumpy mood I use to have.

• I got this as a gift for my boyfriend who is impossible to wake in the morning (translation: he needs 3-5 phone calls in the morning and even then it's not guaranteed to wake him up).
  
  So anyway Clocky is incredibly adorable and I think the only downside is that only one button works as the snooze function unlike when you use your Nokia phone as an alarm and all buttons other than the Stop button will activate the snooze function. When you're sleeping, you just hit whatever button that your fingers reach first, with your eyes still closed. With Clocky, if you just hit any of the other buttons, this makes the alarm stop and not snooze, meaning that in all likelihood you're gonna end up late if you just randomly hit any button to stop the alarm. I suppose it's just a matter of getting used to where the Snooze Button is located, but perhaps Nanda could bear that in mind if they ever want to upgrade the design. Other than that, I think Clocky is great

• Well I have to say that the second guy that reviewed this clock must really be a coma patient, because if this thing doesnt wake you up, then nothing will.
  
  I am a very deep sleeper. I can sleep through earthquakes, kids, and every other alarm clock known to man. I was habitually late when it came to getting up in the morning. I have have slept through my alarms on most occasions and when woken up, had never even heard them. To put it another way, on a scale of 1 to 10, on how deep one can sleep, I'm a 10.
  
  At one time when I was single, and had no one else to consider, I had a home theater system with a built in alarm function. I would set it to about half volume and set it on a hard rock CD. This would be so loud that I would on occasion fall out of bed, and most times be scared when it went off. If I had a heart condition I would be dead, thats how loud. This is the first and only alarm clock that has come close to giving me that same feeling when it wakes me up. It has a very distinct and random tone, very reminiscent of R2-D2, and it is very loud. To top it off he will run and hide, although this is not what has forced me to get up, it has been the alarm sound itself.
  
  When I first purchased this alarm and tried it out, I allowed it to run and it went to the middle of my California king. I couldnt reach it to shut it off. If this had been a real situation I would have definately been wide awake. Since I have actually begun using it though I have found that I have not given it a chance to run, because as soon as it hits the floor I am on it and awake, as it scares me awake.
  
  The only bad thing is that it runs on batteries, which for me only seem to last a couple weeks. That being said, since I am always on time now it seems like a small price to pay. Would have been a better design if it had built in rechargeables and sat on a dock most of the time.
  
  All in all I totally recommend this Clock.

• I purchased this clock for my wife for Christmas who is artsy fartsy and loves different types of gadgets. I set the alarm and placed it next to her side of the bed once she fell asleep so it would wake her up Christmas morning. This clock has a very unique sounding alarm. It sounds like a robot is attacking you with beeps, chirps, etc. and is rather loud.
  
  When the alarm went off Christmas morning, the clock jumped off the night stand and took off across the floor, my wife jumped out of bed, nearly hitting the ceiling and started screaming! The whole time, I was laughing so hard I was crying. After a few seconds, she realized it was CLOCKY and started chasing it around the bedroom trying to catch it and turn it off. She was so excited ONCE she figured out what was happening and what it was. She had wanted a CLOCKY for a long time!
  
  This clock is GREAT! Very unique looking and sounding and is very fun! You will never hit snooze again with this clock, although you can set it so that it does not run away when the alarm goes off, but why would you take the fun out of it!!

• I am a full time college student and am known for not being able to drag myself out of bed in the mornings. I could sleep through any alarm! I saw Clocky and decided to spend the money, it's the best money I've ever spent!
  
  I set Clocky for snooze, now you're thinking, that is where it would fail you? Nope, Clocky only allows you to snooze ONCE! When you snooze time is up (0 - 9 minutes, you set it) the alarm goes off again and in less than 1 second he's off your bedside table roaming around your bedroom floor. The only way to turn him off? GET OUT OF BED AND CHASE HIM!
  
  The logic is, if you have to chase the clock, you are already up... well, what can I say, IT WORKS! I actually get up ON TIME now! This clock is a life saver!

• If ever there was a product that cried out for an Amazon video review, it's Clocky. This thing is so much fun to play with. It sounds like R2 D2 from Star Wars, and after the first time you hit the snooze alarm it jumps off the table or nightstand and runs around the room a beepin' and a flashin'. You can see it works pretty well on the carpeting and it moves even faster on our tile floors. It can jump down from up to 3 feet without killing itself which is more than you need for most nightstands. I don't know if you can see from the video, but it's made pretty well and seems sturdy.
  
  I bought it for my sister who thinks it's cute during the day but doesn't like chasing it in the morning. I tried to capture her on video, chasing clock in a real live morning situation, but her words were "unkind" and not suitable for an Amazon review.
  
  This makes a cute gift for the person who has everything but likes to sleep. I hope this video gives you a better idea of how cute this thing is. (Sorry for all the jiggling around. I really have to get a camera with some kind of stabilization feature).

• This is the best alarm clock ever! It is very practical and well worth the money! The fact that it rolls around is cute but the best part is that it is loud! I turn the wheels off so it stays on my shelf. My husband actually hears it! And it is no boring "beep, beep, beep, beep." The sound is so cool, you have to hear it. If you need something that is different and actually wakes you up, clocky is it!

• I've acquired quite a collection of alarm clocks over the years in the search for the perfect one. And while Clocky isn't perfect, it is definitely the best one I've seen so far.
  
  1. The alarm tone is adorable and (most importantly) somewhat random. Unlike the traditional Casio or Timex alarms, which sound like fire alarms, Clocky sounds like R2D2 going crazy. I hate all alarm clock sounds with a passion, but somehow I haven't been able to fall in hate with clocky. That sound is just too darned cute (and somewhat random, which helps).
  
  2. The actual running around functionality is a little gimmocky but effective. The thing is, clocky doesn't run until after you've snoozed once, so you have incentive to get up (this can be configured from 10 to 0 minutes, thus effectively immediately buzzing and running). But overall, it works. Clocky runs until he gets stuck on a wall or a discarded bit of clothing, and makes a bunch of noise. You've got to figure out where he went and drag him back.
  
  3. They've also fixed a lot of the little problems with most clock interfaces. For one the buttons are easy to press and interact with. Changing the time isn't a tedius experience, as the key repeat rate is much faster and more responsive than most clocks. Otherwise, it's press a button, get a response, with a clean and simple UI. The only unintuitive function was setting the snooze time (hold down the alarm time), but otherwise the UI is beautiful.
  
  Overall, of the 12 alarm clocks I currently own, Clocky is the only one I still use on a daily basis. If you hate conventional alarm clocks, I recommend trying this one. So far for me it has been great.

• As a student, I have never been an early riser. There has been more than one occasion where I have slept through multiple alarm clocks and nearly missed my first classes. But, clocky has changed that. It's reliable, loud, and has an alarm that is sure to grab your attention. • We purchased this clock as a Christmas gift for my daughter who just can't get up in the morning. She hasn't had an alarm clock loud enough to wake her and therefore she would go back to sleep and be late for school most of the time. This alarm clock is VERY loud and VERY annoying and it also rolls itself off the table so you just can't reach over and hit snooze all the time. Just what she needed to get up in the morning, except when she forgets to turn the alarm on. For myself, this clock is too much but perfect for a person who can't get up to a regular alarm clock.

• I got mine today. I tested it and I really like it so far. It might even get me out of bed the first time around. Clocky is really small. And the screw on the back of her, is super annoying. However there is one cool feature I figured out. If you set it down upside down and will roll itself til it's right side up again. However my roommate might hate it more than life.

• We are very very happy with this clock. Especially since we can get up with our alarm again instead of with the crack of dawn! Our daughter absolutely loves the clock and so do her parents - we have been battling sleep issues for a very long time and this clock has got her to sleep on average of an hour earlier.
