My motherboard doesn't have any external eSATA ports and when I wanted to connect a new external hard drive I found this little product. I had two unused internal SATA connectors, so this is a perfect solution. The power port makes it convenient if your device does not have its own external power supply. My external drive runs a lot faster using the eSATA connection rather than its USB connection. The included power and eSATA -> SATA cables make this an even better package.

works as it is suppose to...I'm happy with it. <br/> <br/>Hot swappable feature would have been nicer but I didn't pay the price for it and so I didn't get it :)

this works perfectly with my sata hdd dock on my Optiplex 790. i didn't want an add in controller. the simplicity is perfect.

I installed this in a Dell slim Vostro 200 and it is exactly what was needed to hookup an external SATA docking station. Way faster transfer times then USB interface and clean looks.

These are pretty nice eSATA brackets, I have them all in use now and they work phenomenally. I definitely recommend these, also great price.
