This a cable, plain and simple. Plug it in, and it works fine. Much better than paying premium dollar for big box store brands. I'm an audiophile to some extent too, and I'm satisfied.

Cable worked great. These cables are expensive elsewhere. I don't notice any difference between this one and apple cables.

Other Thoughts:
Cables can be so expensive when they really don't need to be (anymore). New Digital cables don't have to be expensive, with exotic grounding / materials like the analog cables do.

<br/>This is a fairly priced cable that does the job perfectly well.

Very happy with the product and price. And, no awful plastic package to tear your hands on when opening!
