Great dvd player and recorder at a super low price. Very easy to use for recording TV programs. You can record many hours of shows on the hard drive. Love it!

This is the best DVD recorder I've had. It even has features I haven't used, such as freezing live TV. It makes great recordings. I usually record onto DVDs but there are times when there are two or three programs in succession, I record to the hard drive for those. I can either watch them from the hard drive or transfer them later to a DVD. I usually transfer my HDD recordings to a DVD because I usually watch TV on a big screen and home theatre sound system a Blu-Ray player. The recordings play better than any made on my two previous recorders. I'd happily recommend it to a friend.

This recorder was a great find now that VCRs are obsolete. We use it to record over-the-air antenna TV shows. With a wire splitter we can record one show and watch another at the same time. Product has worked as stated, we are very happy with our purchase.

After reading the reviews on this product, thought that it may be difficult for me to set up and use. It was pretty easy to figure out, the remote could have been designed more attractively but I am very satisfied with the product in general. I did not want to pay for a DVR through my cable or satellite company, this was a great alternative. Price could've been a little lower.

I'm free of cable and Tivo has allowed me to do this. With Tivo I can still get many of my TV shows off antenna with it's built in dual ATSC tuners, but in order to cut cable out my life, I still needed to get some of my reality shows a like on History and Discovery Channels. Tivo made solving that problem easy by adding Netflix and Amazon Video to their lineup. Now I get all my shows at less then half the cost of cable every month. If customer support was better I would have given it five stars.
