TiVo has been an amazing addition to the way we watch tv. My kids can watch their shows whenever they want to once I've recorded them and I never need to remember to set up a program with the Season Pass feature. Being able to watch one show and record another is priceless in our house.

Had our local cable companies DVR and we weren't happy. Co-workers said we should try Tivo. And since we have tried it we have found Tivo, by far, blows anyone's DVR out of the water. While it took a little time to get use to the interface and remote control, once you get a handle on things, this thing ROCKS! I cannot image ever going back. I also love the iPad app to control and configure things. Can't wait to see where Tivo goes next!

This is the first Tivo I've ever owned; I've had it for a little over a month now and I'm already a big fan. I'm impressed by the simplicity of the user interface and felt that within a week of using the remote and on screen menus I was already an expert. In my first month of use, I've only encountered one problem with the box in that entire time. At one point the Tivo on screen menu refused to turn off. I simply restarted the box and haven't had any problems since. Overall, my experience with the Tivo Premiere has been highly favorable. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to purchase a DVR.

I first bought this Media DVR, and now have their updated Live Player with networking, and both units are amazing. Plays just about anything (only had problems with one media file so far), great picture quality through HDMI, and it's cheap to boot! <br/> <br/>At this price, it's a guaranteed good buy!

I bought this unit last winter as a gift to an old alcoholic friend of mine who has dropped it, spilled stuff on it and lost the back to the controller an still it works like a charm. <br/> <br/>Plays avi movies and mp3 music and jpg photos on an older tv perfectly! <br/> <br/>It has a simple controller and the on screen interface makes it easy for people like him to use. (which makes it even easier on people like me -caregiver).
