OK, there is no one diffuser to work in all situations, but this best flash diffuser is pretty darned versatile. And you can find knock-offs on a certain site.

I used the lambency flash diffuser for a annual portrait shoot I do. Last time I did this shoot I brought 3 flash and two stands with umbrellas. This time I just brought the diffuser. I got great results and everyone was very happy with the photographs. I would highly recommend this product.

I am a serious amateur photographer and I have assisted local professionals as a "second shooter" at large weddings. Indoors, the lambency flash diffuser does a great job of diffusing flash harshness, giving a nicer, more natural look than other similar products. Also, it is very light weight so I can carry it for an 8 hour event without wearing myself out. Outdoors, its benefit is minimal. I think you will find that this product is a winner and deserves a place in your camera bag.
