The Express Card TV Tuner PCMCIA Video Card E860 is the newest TV receiving/video capturing card designed for notebook and other digital devices. PCMCIA Express card utilizes the newest tuner which can support all worldwide TV standards. The Notebook with this PCMCIA Card can receive local programs whenever and wherever. It incorporates MPEG 2 software encoders to enable high quality recordings of your favorite programs direct to your hard drive. You can even play your DVD/VHS players through this TV Tuner, and record or capture them to digital video on your hard drive. Composite audio/video inputs also allow you to watch and record off of your camcorder DVD player video game console and more. This is a brand new Express TV Tuner Card. You can watch analog TV on notebook with this TV Tuner Card slot. PCMCIA Video Card also supports TV receiving and recording function.

Pros:

My laptop travels the world so I can get Analogue TV in most countries. More importantly, the Card is an Analogue to Digital Converter. Ideal for digitizing old Analogue Tapes at home.

Cons:

Analogue TV will be switched off in UK in a year or two. The latest Laptops seem to be missing Express Card slots needed for this Product. My Acer Laptop (Vista) is 3 years old. Buy a suitable second-hand Laptop if you have a lot of Tapes to convert,

You can input an AV signal from a VCR and it is converted to an MPEG file on the hard drive. Your Analogue Video Cassettes can be digitized! Similarly, you can input a stereo audio signal from a Hi-Fi and it is converted to an MP3 or WMA file on the hard drive. Your Analogue Audio Cassettes can be digitized! A dedicated equipment to perform either of these can cost ?100 or more!..

Product arrived in a timely manner and worked great to resolve an issue with compatibility. I bought this express card in order to be able to plug in a hardware dongle (key) on a laptop. It has been working great, no issues.

I just wanna say, dinodirect.com, they are the best on-line marketplace...better than ebay since they police the bad apples and ebay takes longer. I've never had a bad experience with them but always nice and happy ones. I really trust them all the time.

I'm using this with a Dell Inspiron 1520. It plugs right in and voila! Television. It provides good sound, a quality picture, and a very confusing menu. Well worth the money, and I highly recommend it. This is the only 'television' I have in my house and I don't use it often. I live near Los Angeles where signals are strong, but I could still use a better antenna on some channels in the lower frequencies.

I bought this a couple of months ago. I use it to watch live TV and record. All off the antenna. This is fabulous. It was really easy to setup..had it working in minutes. the antenna works great too - better than the one I have for my HDTV (have not tried yet but i think i can plug this one in). I love having my laptop work as a DVR also.
