I bought this a couple of months ago. I use it to watch live TV and record. All off the antenna. This is fabulous. It was really easy to setup..had it working in minutes. the antenna works great too - better than the one I have for my HDTV (have not tried yet but i think i can plug this one in). I love having my laptop work as a DVR also.

The remote is solid and useful and works well. Set up was easy and quick out of the box. If you use the Windows Media Center Guide, you can add sub channels.

Very useful especially if you are in college and don't want to pay for a tv, just hook this up to your pc and start watching cable tv after a very quick setup. I love this and its very convenient.

if you're using Vista as an OS, skip the rest and BUY this ONE!!! I have an HP laptop and this installed and integrated effortlessly. I struggled with another manufacturer's version of this device and absolutely could not get the driver installed. I returned that one and purchased this. I highly recommend this tuner!

I haven't figured out yet what these stations are. I think they're cable or satellite channels. This converter box also improved the reception of all the TV stations. My new DVD recorder, as I mentioned above, also improved the reception even better then this converter box.

This is an excellent product and very easy to install AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! If you try to shortcut the instructions, it wont work. Other then that, it is very good quality tuner, with excellent recording quaility. It is a bit slow on response using a Digital Cable Box Guide. Overall, I give this product 5 stars for ease of use, and quaility for the money.

I found a great deal on this. I plugged it in, installed the drivers and the software and everything works great, remote included. The picture quality isn't the greatest, but it's fine for just watching tv while I'm working on the computer and it's so cheap that I can't really complain.

My laptop travels the world so I can get Analogue TV in most countries. More importantly, the Card is an Analogue to Digital Converter. Ideal for digitizing old Analogue Tapes at home.

Cons:

Analogue TV will be switched off in UK in a year or two. The latest Laptops seem to be missing Express Card slots needed for this Product. My Acer Laptop (Vista) is 3 years old. Buy a suitable second-hand Laptop if you have a lot of Tapes to convert,

You can input an AV signal from a VCR and it is converted to an MPEG file on the hard drive. Your Analogue Video Cassettes can be digitized! Similarly, you can input a stereo audio signal from a Hi-Fi and it is converted to an MP3 or WMA file on the hard drive. Your Analogue Audio Cassettes can be digitized! A dedicated equipment to perform either of these can cost ?100 or more!..
