How can I shrink a silicone case for my phone?
Well since it is silicone..try putting it in hot water..it will make the silicone shrink and soft..while its still warm and free of water slid it on your phone. and let it set. (cool down) now it should have a snug fit.

What kind of case should i take silicone or hard plastic?
Why don't you go down both avenues and try both? Silicone cases are sometimes durable, but could stain with inks or dyes. They are also easier to grip in case you happen to be the type that breaks everything they touch. Hard cases, like silicone ones, also protect well. But they're bulky and could slip from your hand. However, it's still great protection and just as durable as silicone. The choice is yours and I hope you find either or both to your liking!

Can you use a silicone case and the pouch at the same time on a blackberry curve?
The silicone case will not interfere with sleep mode. Blackberries know they are in a case because of a strategically placed magnet in the case. You can play with this by holding a magnet over the Blackberry, usually somewhere around the space key.
