Leather cases are the best. For your screen buy a protecter that sticks directly on.

Whats the difference between an ipod skin & a leather case if any ?
A "skin" is a sticker or laminate you put onto the cellphone (so it's pretty much like a web layout) whereas a "leather case" is just that, a case made of leather to actually protect the iPod if you drop it.

Have leather case. Smells like vomit. How can i get rid of this smell?
Try putting naphthalene balls in it for a few days, or spray it with an air freshener, close the lid and keep it closed for a few days. Then it would be better.
