- How can I fix an LED clock where I can set the minutes, but the hour button doesn't work?
Sometimes the buttons used are a mini-button that can actually be unsoldered, and replaced with a new one. But the effort required to do this - and the skill of being able to solder and unsolder to very tight circuitry on a printed circuit board, is most often not worth the effort. If you absolutely need to have it repaired instead of buy a new one, seek out a techie friend who knows his\her way around electronics. He\she may be able to help you.
- Why does my cell phone cause my alarm clock to make noises?
Move your cell phone further away from anything that has a speaker. The radio signals cause interference in the speakers. Notice how they buzz more just before a call comes in. You can have a try!
- How much energy/ power does it take to run a small LED clock?
Depends if it's mains or battery. It will be mains operated as LED's can soon run a battery down - displays for each numeral can take up to 25mA depending entirely on whether they are regular or low current types. The transformer will probably be rated at about 0.25A so I reckon at a guess the power consumption will be only about 4 or 5W. A battery operated LED clock would usually have a push switch to momentarily view the time after which the display goes off.
