This little flashlight is just what I was looking for. I wanted something that I could keep on my keychain without adding too much bulk. I have had those tiny watch battery LED lights in the past, but while they help for some things, they don't really project past a few feet. This one is powerful enough to use as my one and only flashlight. <br/> <br/>I would have prefered the off position be fully tighened, such as with the maglights, rather than loosed as with this light. This would keep lint and dirt from getting into the gap while in your pocket.

This tiny little flashlight is incredibly bright! To see just how bright, check out the comparison photo I posted in Customer Images. I've had this thing for about three months now and still absolutely love it! It's small and light enough that I carry it with me everywhere in my pocket. I use it all the time and rarely need to replace the battery. One of my clients had a parking lot in the middle of dense woods with no lighting at all. This little flashlight light the way for me to my car each night.

Unbelievable! I received my UltraFire Flashlight a few days ago and am utterly amazed just how much light this flashlight can produce. I have no scientific light measurement equipment, but doing the backyard-eyeball test, this light looks like it's two or three times as bright as my old one.

This flashlight far outshines my 140 lumen LED upgrade module. It's 500 lumens, which is really bright! When I turned it on at work, everybody wanted one. It's solidly built, and heavier than what you'd expect, mostly due to the heavier metal. This is probably more a tactical light rather than an ordinary household flashlight. You won't find a better bright light for the price.

Dinodirect's price was the best I could find, and I still was hesitant to pay so much for a very small item. Well, I'm glad I did. This little flashlight puts out more light than my last one. You have to see what 500 lumens can illuminate. I live in a foothill area, and often hear noises in the hills around the house. I bought the flashlight to see the causes (usually deer), but couldn't always see far enough to discern the cause. With this LED flashligth, I can see further. and the beam is more focused. The flashlight is , in my opinion, the only option any longer.

What is the temperature of a flashlight bulb filament when turned on?
You can try this. Calculate rated resistance using E = IR (solve for R). Assume that the increase in resistance for tungsten is linear (in the range of interest). Form a ratio of room temperature resistance / room temperature in degrees Kelvin (use absolute temperature) = rated resistance / unknown temperature x. Convert x to degrees C. Good luck. At full brightness (a few milliseconds after turning on) the filament temperature will be around 4000 degrees fahrenheit.

How do I get battery acid off of a flashlight coil?
Remove all parts that you can, if the coil is the bottom coil of the light, pour coke cola in the bottom. cover the coil completely. Let stand couple mins. Repeat 2 or 3 times, really works. I find if i shake it lightly, it makes it work faster.

What kind of batteries should I use for an LED flashlight, heavy duty or alkaline?
Alkaline will last longer than heavy duty batteries. Leaving the batteries in the flashlight without using it will drain the battery faster.

Depending how much charge the battery has determine when you should not leave the battery for an extended time.

If the battery is brand new and you plan using the flashlight within a month or so, it's fine to leave it in the flashlight, however the battery will drain quicker than if it was out.

If the battery is almost dead, then it's best to remove them as the battery leakage usually happen when the battery is getting emptied out.
