How to Connect an iPod Shuffle to a Computer:
An iPod Shuffle is the smallest, most basic iPod model. It's great when you don't need a lot of functions and are simply looking for a lightweight MP3 player to play your favorite music. Obviously, in order to download new music and recharge the battery, you have to connect the shuffle to a computer
- Connect directly into the USB drive. Older-model iPod Shuffles (the size and shape of a pack of gum) can connect directly into the USB port like a USB memory drive
- Pull the plastic cap off the bottom of the iPod and plug it into the USB port on your computer. Assuming your computer is on, the battery will begin charging and you can share files
- Connect using the dock. Newer iPod models are even smaller and don't contain a built-in USB connection. These require the use of a dock, which should have been included with your purchase
- Dock the shuffle. Connect the USB cable into the USB port on the computer. You're can now begin charging and file sharing

01-04-2012- Other Thoughts: When I saw the price for this iPod Shuffle Charger, I was suspicious. I think that, usually, you get what you pay for. But this cheap little thing charges your Shuffle and allows you to do the usual things you do on iTunes. It looks chintzy but it does what you need and expect it to.
