How to Use a Universal Remote With an XBox 360:

• Remove the remote control's battery cover and insert two AA batteries. Replace the cover
• Point the remote toward the game console. Press any button; the entire keypad should light up. The Xbox 360 universal media remote is preconfigured by Microsoft for your convenience. Using infrared technology, your console will automatically recognize the remote
• Use the buttons on your remote for similar functions to those on your game controller. Many are self-explanatory.
