How to Clean a Silicone Keyboard Cover:
- Fill your kitchen sink with enough warm water to fully submerge the keyboard cover. Add 1/4 tsp. of mild liquid dish detergent
- Remove the cover from the keyboard. Take the cover outdoors and shake the crumbs off
- Submerge the keyboard cover in your kitchen sink. Allow it to soak for 10 minutes if food has dried on it
- Wash the silicone keyboard cover, front and back, with a soft cloth. Rinse the cover with warm, clean water from the faucet
- Lay the silicone cover flat on a towel to dry
How to Protect Keyboard Covers:
- Wipe down the keyboard protector regularly with a cotton ball and either water or a small amount of rubbing alcohol to help disinfect it from germs and eliminate dirt
- Remove the keyboard protector weekly to more thoroughly clean it. Most varieties can simply be pulled off
- Wash the keyboard protector under warm water with mild soap to eliminate dirt and debris that formulates under the protector while on the keyboard. Dry the protector completely before placing it back on the keyboard
- Avoid bending the protector when it is not on the keyboard. While it has a certain amount of flexibility, bending it completely will cause a crease to form that makes it harder to fit back on a keyboard comfortably. Rolling the protector can potentially warp it as well and should be avoidable
- Keep beverages and food away from the keyboard as much as possible. While the keyboard protector is designed to protect the keyboard from spillage, the protector itself will last longer the less it comes into contact with food and drinks
NOTE:
- Computer keyboard covers come in all shapes and sizes. They serve to not only keep keyboards clean, but also to reduce letter wearing on keys from typing. So choose a suitable keyboard cover is very important
- Remove the keyboard cover from its packaging, and check for any tears or holes as these can let in dust or moisture
- Remove your keyboard cover at regular intervals (approximately once a month or more) to clean

- Other Thoughts: i'm a girl, so i like to personalize & make all my things "pretty" & i also have the tendency to get tired of things pretty fast... for a few dollars, this changes the look of your mac, while also protecting the keyboard from accidents! in short, i don't get bored w/ my macbook & also ensure it lasts longer b/c i've protected it! LOVE these... i have 4 different colors ;]

11-15-2010- Other Thoughts: Its worth buying this. It will help protect the inside of your keyboard and it feels really natural on your computer. the only weird part is it starts to turn a little grayish and dirty on the main keys you use after a while

12-06-2010- Other Thoughts: The Protective Keyboard Cover works great. The only drawback is you cannot see the ALT(shift) green light when you hve it pressed. But for everyday use I highly recommend it. Specially if you have kids or different people using the computer. keeps it clean. Super product.
