How to Sanitize Hand Towels:
- Clean and tidy towel is good for your health
Sometimes people don't think about keeping their hand towels clean and sanitized. They assume that your hands are clean when you use the towel, so there shouldn't be much to worry about. However, hand towels are often a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. It is very important to wash and sanitize them regularly.
Things You'll Need- Laundry detergent
- 1/2 cup borax
- 3/4 cup bleach
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
Instructions
- Wash your hand towels in a washing machine with hot water, laundry detergent and borax. The hot water setting will kill the germs. Add 1/2 cup borax to aid the detergent in cleaning the towels and eliminating odor. Borax is commonly used as a laundry booster and can be purchased in the same aisle as laundry detergent in most stores
- Add 3/4 cup bleach to the washing machine five minutes into the cycle. If your towels are colored, be sure to used color-safe bleach or bleach alternatives. Most washing machines have a compartment for bleach
- Add 1/2 cup white vinegar during the rinse cycle of the wash
- Dry towels on highest heat setting in your dryer. This will help kill and eliminate any remaining germs or bacteria

01-25-2011- Other Thoughts: My wife uses this to dry her hair. She loves it and is very happy with the purchase. Her previous towel was heavy and thick and kept falling off the wall hook - this one is thin and stays on the hook, and is easy to wrap and use when she gets out of the shower. This is what she was looking for! It is a perfect size.

12-22-2010- Other Thoughts: I have very long hair and cannot spend twenty minutes drying (and damaging) it with the blow dryer. I have been using microfiber hair towels for years and this brand has been the best so far. It cuts drying time in half and is easier to wrap on your head because it is so thin. Highly recommended.

11-10-2010- Other Thoughts: Love love love this product. I have used this for years and decided time to buy a new one. It cuts your blow drying time in half. Just don't ever put it in the dryer with a fabric sheet. It ruins the absorbency of the towel.

10-27-2010- Other Thoughts: I used this type of towel (in basic white) for years while scuba diving. It was perfect -- small size -- dries quickly -- super-absorbant. After having kids, I started using the towel to dry and wrap my hair -- perfect for this as well. Then my kid decided to take my towel over, so I had to purchase more -- It is the perfect size to wrap a toddler below the arms after a bath. The kids love them. <br/> <br/>I would like to point out that my original towel is at least 10 years old and going strong. The towels are pricey, but they last. Also, I bought mine when Amazon was running a sale, so you could wait patiently and get a good deal.

10-13-2010- Other Thoughts: EXCELLENT! There is NO better product anywhere. In the art world they say 'form follows function'. Well, for this product the function gets a 100% superb rating. And the form? Well, no towel has ever known the qualities that this towel holds. I have never written a review on Amazon and when I saw that Amazin(hey, that's a prety good typo for Amazon, right?) I feel so passionate about this item that 1st I purchased one(I would have bought 5 but I don't like pink, and since this is the only color they are offering I'm taking one). Trust me, everythng they say @ the Aquis is true. You will feel like your hair is already dry just from towelling. And for exercising or the gym - any sports, it folds up so small, a normal towel would take up 5x's the space. In my experience, a terry cloth towel NEVER absorbs all the water after a bath.. THIS towel as it touches you - YOU BECOME COMPLETELY DRY. Hope you discover the joy and the simplification afforded your life once you've tried an Aquis. Don't delay, they go FAST!

09-22-2010- Other Thoughts: My mother brought me back one of these from some trip she went on years and years ago. I thought it was the greatest thing ever! I haven't been able to find them again until now! (After about ten years, mine has had better days, but still works great!) I highly recommend this product. I sleep with mine on my long hair and wake up with gorgeous, frizz-free waves.

09-08-2010- Other Thoughts: As for the drying, the towel is very absorbant. However, if the towel is "too short" and you attempt to wrap lots of sopping wet hair up in it, you may be dissapointed. That's like sopping up a puddle with a sheet of bounty - it's all relative. Be smart, buy the size you need and you will be impressed with the amount of water it picks up. I'd also recommend the doggie dryer - It's become a staple in our lives like dog food and his leash. It goes just about everywhere the dog does now if the trip at all involves water!

08-18-2010- Other Thoughts: I LOVE this towel! I purchased one for my daughter and one for myself a few months ago. We both have very thick hair that takes forever to dry. This towel just sucks the water right out of my hair. A huge time saver and a great help keeping the hair dryer damage to a minimum. The towel also dries quickly, preventing that mildew problem some people get in humid areas. <br/>I plan on buying more of these towels to keep on hand to put in gift baskets along with some candles and bath goodies for quick gift giving.
