How to Install a Shower Curtain Rod:
Shower curtain rods come in a variety of styles to choose from. Choosing which one to install in your home can sometimes feel like a daunting task. Luckily, permanent shower curtain rods are easy to install and are usually the preferred choice due to their durability. Shower curtain rods are sold as a kit including the hardware, which makes them an excellent choice for a do-it-yourselfer.- Choose the desired height of the shower curtain. Standard curtain height is 5 inches above the top of the shower wall. Depending on the design of the shower, height can be customized to meet personal needs. The rod placement should also be close enough to the edge of the shower to allow the curtain to hang over the tub.
- Use a pencil to mark the desired height on the wall. Measure the distance between the rear of the shower to the height mark. Hold the curtain rod bracket against this mark, and use a pencil to draw the location of the drill holes. Mark the second bracket in the same manner on the opposite wall. Check that the brackets are level.
- Place one bracket against the location that was previously marked on the wall. Line up the first bracket with the drill hole markings on the wall. Drill the screws included in the installation kit through the bracket holes and into the wall.
- Use a drill to secure the second bracket in the same manner as the first bracket. Measure the distance between the top of the shower wall and the brackets to make sure they are level.
- Put one end of the shower curtain rod into the first bracket. Gently insert the other end of the shower rod into the second bracket. It may take a small amount of pressure to insert the rod into the second bracket.
Tips & Warnings:
- Measure the shower before purchasing the curtain rod.
- Do not drill through ceramic tile. Wear safety glasses when using a drill.

07-26-2011- Other Thoughts: I wasn't sure about this with the mixed reviews I read. I pulled it out as soon as I got it and it's great. I love it!!! It is a really dark gray, medium gray and light gray color scheme. I matched this with a medium gray bath mat. I will post a pic so you can see how great it looks put up. Really pleased with this purchase. Everyone that has seen it in my bathroom loves it!

07-07-2011- Other Thoughts: I was a bit worried at first when we received this shower curtain, since the fabric seemed like it would need to be used with a liner. However, we decided to give it a go on its own and it's been great. The fabric is quick drying, and so we've not had any problems with mildew. Also, the weight of this shower curtain is perfect. It's light enough that it lets light into the shower (which we needed since the only lights in our bathroom are above the sink) and you can see through it easily when you're looking out towards the light; but without backlighting its hard to even see the silhouette of the person in the shower.

07-05-2011- Other Thoughts: I have had this Waterproof Shower Curtain for 3 months, yet not a speck of mold has grown. My previous shower curtains last about a month before mold starts growing. Since I refuse to clean them, I normally throw them out when this happens. I'm amazed how long this shower curtain is holding up.

06-20-2011- Other Thoughts: I can't give it 5 stars yet because I just received it. But this curtain is really heavy. It looks like it will last a long time. It has two sides: One is grainy and the other slick. I put the slick side towards the inside of the shower, hopefully it's the best thing to do. Just want to highlight the fact that this item feels very promising. I'll try to update when I am changing it to update on whether it last or not.

06-06-2011- Other Thoughts: I bought this Waterproof Shower Curtain because I (like most normal people!) hate to clean shower curtains. I've used it almost every day for 5 months and it still looks brand new. It's also very thick and durable, not flimsy at all.
